Hello and welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy it, as a little about me…………

I currently work in the networking industry as a client technical lead (network architect) for a major outsourcing company, focusing on a number of Government accounts. Proir to that I was a “Network Specialist” for a major worldwide financial institution. I am currently focused on data centre design and the delivery of business projects and infrastructure designs/upgrades.

I have turned my hand to a number of different technology areas, as a 30 second life history;

I graduated in 2002 after studying Computer and Network Technology at Northumbria University (Newcastle, UK). As a graduate I joined a specialist NMS/OSS company based in the UK. I spent five years providing consultancy, around the world (mainly Europe), in a number of “best of breed” NMS/OSS applications and technologies. Throughout this period a large number of my projects were on behalf of Cisco Advanced Services or HP Professional Services.

I also enjoy sport, after many years playing rugby as a loose head prop (to a National 2 level) I then tried powerlifting for a couple of years (Yorkshire and North East Champion 2008). I am playing rugby again at a more social (but still competitive) level.
